The Why

Communities are the key to the upcoming future. They provide a sense of meaning and passion They provide a space for belonging And most of all.. they are the collective intelligence to get us through the next phase of humanity. We see hundreds of thousands of meet-ups, facebook groups, slack groups.. that work tirelessly day and night, to provide meaning and value to their members and an impact for their local environment. Yet they struggle to pay location fees, to reimburse costs of the organisers… making it harder and harder for them to become self sustainable. On the other hand we see companies, hungry for innovation, diversity, human connection… all the things communities can provide. And yet.. they often don’t know where to start looking for them.

The Project

"Discover" by WeDo, is the largest worldwide database of real life communities, aimed at helping them find sponsors. With over 240000 communities, we focus especially on those which have an offline presence and aggregate data from all their social media platforms to showcase their offline and online engagement. The goal is to help communities become sustainable by connecting to companies who want to find new ways to support their innovation, marketing and recruitment.
